Caller ID Manager, beginning with version 1.01a, is distributed with an installer. The installer is easy to use and has online help. Double-click the program Installer. Select which form of the User’s Manual you would like to have. Press the Install button. Next you will be asked to personalize your software. Press Okay and the installer takes care of the rest. You will be asked to restart your computer before using Caller ID Manager.
For those of you wondering what the installer is doing, here is a run-down. It places the extension Serial Tool into the Extensions Folder located within your System Folder. The installer creates a resource file CIDM 1.01 rsrc which is put in the Preference folder, also in the System Folder. Do not remove this file as Caller ID Manager will not run without it! The installer also creates a folder called “CIDM 1.01” and puts the program Caller ID Manager 1.01 into it. The instruction manual(s) are put in the CIDM 1.01 folder.
If you wish to have Caller ID Manager startup each time you turn on your computer, make an alias of Caller ID manager 1.01 and put it into your Startup Items folder (loacted in your System Folder.)
